FROSTY BLUE SMOKEY EYE

FROSTY BLUE SMOKEY EYE I was SO inspired by the color Axis from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette for this look. I saw that blue and was like 'you shall be my main attraction!'. I ended up mixing a few different palettes to get this look but I LOVE how it turned out so much. I used the white highlight from the Ofra Cosmetics Beverly Hills Highlighter Wheel on the lid and it's so frosty and metallic I love it. This whole look came out so much more wearable than I was expecting, and I hope you guys like it as much as I do. Let me know in the comments below what you think, everything I use to complete this look is listed below. CRANBERRY SMOKEY EYE

CRANBERRY SMOKEY EYE  For this look I was playing around with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. I'm not always in the mood for such romantic colors but I was filming a video and wanted something really wearable but colorful. One of my favorite shades from the palette is Vermeer which is a somehow frosty shadow that looks like pale pink snowflakes on the eye. I LOVE it.  Let me know in the comments below what you think, everything I use to complete this look is listed below. GOLD GLITTER GLAM

GOLD GLITTER GLAM Alliteration is apparently my strong suit. For this look I wanted to use neutral tones but give it some kind of POP to make it glamorous and bold. So I went with some loose glitter from NYX to really make the lid stand out. This is the first look I've photographed with my NEW SOFTBOXES! *Thunderous applause* I cannot tell you how excited I was to get new lighting, and it's amazing. It illuminates  everything so clearly and makes my pictures come out so clear! All my photos are going to be jumping up in quality and I'm so thrilled about it!  Let me know in the comments below what you think, everything I use to complete this look is listed below. SUBCULTURE PALETTE IS IT SALVAGABLE?? | REVIEW PART 2

SUBCULTURE PALETTE REVIEW PART 2 TRAILER I was SO on the fence about getting this palette. I heard such wild reviews about it: that the palette was awful, that it was perfect, that there was a manufacturing error, that it was going to be recalled, that it was a 'pure pigment' *which makes no sense* and wasn't sure whether it was worth the effort. Finally I decided that I needed to try it for myself and see what I thought about it. This is the second part of a 2 part review (first part was swatches/first thoughts) about whether the Subculture palette was even usable, and HOW you should be using such a unique formula. LAVANDER AND ORANGE HALO EYE

LAVENDER & ORANGE HALO EYE I don't know what inspired this look to be honest. I was looking through my palettes trying to become inspired and found a custom Buxom palette I created and saw this metallic lilac shade *La La Lavish* and was like 'halo eye???'. I have small eyes and don't usually like a halo on on me, but I'm starting to come around! You're always learning, growing, etc and this is a case of me changing my mind 180 about something I didn't like on myself. Let me know in the comments below what you think, everything I use to complete this look is listed below. 4 REASONS WHY I'M GOING TO BUY MORE LIPSENSE

LIPSENSE REVIEW I filmed a first impressions/review of the product that I'll link at the bottom this article. BUT in the interest in giving you more detail about this product I'm going to be telling you 5 Reasons Why I'm Going to Buy More LipSense. Several months ago I was approached by a distributor of LipSense *as I'm an Instagram beauty blogger* if I would be interested in receiving  a 50% off discount in exchange for a review of the LipSense Starter Kit *this is not sponsored, just trying to be transparent*. I had been interested in purchasing LipSense since the reviews for it started pouring in, and this was just the motivation I needed to get around to trying it out, getting a massive discount! I recieved the product from @yourlipology on Insta *the girl's name is Bree she's so sweet* and received  the package promptly 2 days later. Shade 'Blu Red' 1. It really is transfer proof! I'm the kind of person that does a lot w

NEUTRAL GLAM

NEUTRAL GLAM I used to be an ONLY NEUTRAL TONES kind of person. I was SO afraid of colors and didn't know how to use them, so this was a look I did all the time about 5 years ago. For this palette I again used the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette. Recently after experimenting with SO much color, I wanted to do a full glam look using neutral tones. I am super into this and got a lot of compliments on this look *runs out of air tooting own horn* because to be honest it's easier to rock a neutral look than vibrant blue anyday. Let me know in the comments below what you think, everything I use to complete this look is listed below. PRODUCT LIST Anastasia Beverly Hills: Brow Pomade NYX: Loose Pigment 'Brighten Up' Urban Decay: Optical Illusion Primer Smashbox: 24 Hour Eye Primer | Primer Water Stila: Waterproof Liquid Liner Elf Cosmetics: Gel Eyeliner Jaclyn Hill: Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette Loreal: Infallible Setting

MAUVE AND COOL TAUPE HALO EYE

MAUVE AND COOL TAUPE HALO EYE I seriously never do this, but for this look I could NOT figure out what colors to coordinate for this look *clearly I'm broken* so I was LITERALLY pulling out palettes, and swatching colors on my arms until I found what I thought looked good together. I usually have a clear picture in my mind of what I want and don't have a hard time mentally coordinating colors. I ended up going with the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette. I actually really love this! I don't like doing a straight up cool toned eye look often, cool tones aren't very wearable, so I balanced a bit of warmth with the taupe in the center. Especially with my blue/pink toned skin cool colors can make you look a bit like I was  exsanguinated. That's life being an NW10 *the palest shade available in MAC Cosmetics Foundation*. SUBCULTURE PALETTE SWATCHES/FIRST THOUGHTS | REVIEW PART 1

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS SUBCULTURE PALETTE REVIEW I was SO on the fence about getting this palette. Swatches are a decent indicator of color tone and pigment, but that doesn't really speak on how they perform on the eyes. Watch the video in the link below if you want to see what I think! METALLIC GREEN SMOKEY EYE

METALLIC GREEN SMOKEY EYE I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this look. Everything turned out exactly the way I wanted and I cannot tell you HOW WET the metallic looked in real life. I kept going to the mirror and turning my head in the light and watching how the light danced across my eyelid. It also felt weirdly cooling *maybe I used too much setting spray*. Setting spray is such a beauty guru addiction, and it's quickly becoming one of mine.  This was my third attempt at using the Subculture Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. I also mixed in shades from the Modern Renaissance Palette, and a loose NYX Pigment in Brighten up. Let me know in the comments below what you think, everything I use to complete this look is listed below. PRODUCT LIST Anastasia Beverly Hills: Brow Pomade | Subculture Palette | Modern Renaissance Palette NYX: Loose Pigment 'Brighten Up' Urban Decay: Optical Illusion Primer Smashbox: 24 Hour Eye Primer | Primer Water

JADE HALF CUT CREASE

JADE HALF-CUT CREASE This is one of my favorite buxom single shadows and I wanted it to be front and center in this look. I filled in the crease with shadows from my Too Faced Sweet Peach palette and I'm so pleased with what I got out of this. I rarely get a wing this perfect, and this one could slice through a rock! If your wing liner is a little sloppy take a SHARP eyeliner brush *I use the Zoeva Wing Liner Brush* and a little eye cream *I use the Mac Fast Response Eye Cream* and clean up the edge EVEN IF IT'S DRY! This tip has been a life saver for me.  Let me know in the comments below what you think, everything I use to complete this look is listed below. NAVY & GOLD HALO EYE

NAVY & GOLD HALO EYE I used the *LIMITED EDITION* Beauty and the Beast Eyeshadow Palette to create this look. I rarely do something so dramatic and cool-toned but I was in the mood for something really different for me, and went with a wet looking halo eye. This was actually my SECOND attempt at this look. I used to be in *head over heels obsessive* LOVE with Lorac eyeshadows a few years ago when I was an intermediate/beginner with makeup, but since then the honeymoon phase has passed to a mild irritation and disappointment. Their shadows are GORGEOUS but they can get muddy on the eye easily if you over blend, and really need to PLACE the color, not drag or fluff. I adore this palette *in part because Beauty and the Beast is to this day my favorite Disney movie of all time* but there was a bit of frustration getting this look done. Let me know in the comments below what you think, everything I use to complete this look is listed below. PRODUCT LIS

Instagrammer turned Blogger

Hello Blogger Community, This is a new medium for me, so bear with me while I spill my heart out in a public forum. Little bit about me, my name is Katy, I'm a wife and mother with an 8 month old daughter, and freelance makeup artist, makeup enthusiast, Instagrammer, YouTuber, Social Media Coordinator for an online Ebay secondhand retailer, and student. I'm always spinning a lot of plates, but as of the last several months I've been spinning a lot more. I have always done makeup on myself and others as a hobby, but at the insistent of my friends, family, and strangers, decided to pursue it as a full time career. Yes, I am hoping to make money by doing makeup. But no, that does not mean I'm going to be latching onto every opportunity I have to make ANY money on this platform. My reviews are going to be unbiased, but not crude, my makeup glamorous, but wearable, and my personality, bold but hopefully not abrasive. Hope you'll subscribe, and hope I can put ou
